The Museum of Northwest Art (MONA) hosted the third Surge Festival from Oct. 2018 through early Jan. 2019. Local artists and scientists collaborated to create the exhibition, meant to increase awareness of local impacts of climate change. Our show for Jan. 16 played excerpts from the panel presentation involving some of those artists and scientists held the last weekend of the exhibit. Today's show features excerpts from the discussion between panelists, moderators and the audience which followed the formal panel presentation.
Included below are websites of some of the artists who spoke on Jan. 5 which give the listener some idea of the artists' work, and include some of the images spoken about in today's program.
