This week we pay tribute to the late Congressman John Lewis utilizing audio from local singer/songwriter Mark Pearson's podcasts 42 & 47. John Lewis was a civil rights activist and leader who chaired SNCC (Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee) from 1963-1966. Rep. Lewis fought for the rights of black people particularly in the Southeastern part of the US from his early life and throughout his time in the US House of Representatives from 1987 until his death July 17, 2020. This is our way of honoring the Black Lives Matter movement via audio from two of Mark Pearson's podcasts entitled the March on Washington.
