Here is the challenge presented by a panel talking about increasing women in leadership held recently in Skagit as part of a series being presented by the Women's Funding Alliance. Are you happy about the state of government now at any level? If not, what are you planning to do about it? If you want change, you personally need to consider that you should be part of that change. Female candidates are needed at many levels, but support staff is also critical for running a successful campaign.
Moderated by Liz Vivian, President and CEO of the Women's Funding Alliance, listen in on a conversation between Mount Vernon Mayor Jill Boudreau and Sultan Mayor Carolyn Eslick about their experiences, including the trials, running for office. Joining the conversation is Debbie Walsh, Director of the Center for American Women and Politics.
This presentation took place at McIntyre Hall on the Skagit Valley College campus on March 28, 2017. It was presented by the Women's Funding Alliance in collaboration with the Center for American Women and Politics. The Women's Funding Alliance's mission is to advance leadership and economic opportunity for women and girls in Washington State.
