Kurt Dunbar, Instructor of History at Skagit Valley College, talks with Dave McConnell about fascism; a discussion focusing on the Sinclair Lewis play "It Can't Happen Here." We discussed the similarities between events of the 1930's (when the play was written) and recent events in the United States. The conversation will continue next week as we discuss Lawrence Britt's study of fascism that identified 14 characteristics that were shared by fascist governments of the 20th century - and see how they apply our country today.
