Join host jim justice as she talks with Mount Baker Planned Parenthood Executive Director, Linda McCarthy, about the latest bills filed supposedly to cut funds for the abortions Planned Parenthood provides using federal funds. But Planned Parenthood does NOT use federal funds on abortions AND only a very small percent of their budget includes abortion services. Linda explains very thoroughly the various services they do provide - both educational and medical. jim asked about various fundraisers and Linda says they know virtually nothing about them because their allies are hosting them. Linda is concerned that allies are sending their funds to the National office, which doesn't pass them on. So, she'd prefer they be sent/taken directly to MBPP. They have clinics in Mount Vernon, Bellingham and Friday Harbor.
